CJ
Today I went for a day trip to the next island over from Kos - Kalymnos. I went with 2 of my mates, one on a scooter like me and the other on a far nicer Kawasaki bike. The island is just a short ferry trip away of about 45 minutes but it is like another world in terms of "Greekness". Whilst Kos has embraced the more touristy type thing, Kalymnos seems to have managed to stay far more "olde worldy". My mate took a few pics and whilst they are nowhere as good as the ones LBM recently posted, at least it gives people a feel for the island. Indeed That LMB guy is a fool. Ignore him. Nice one Col. Perhaps you'd be annoying enough to put up some nice sunny Xmas ones next month? Pete
Ooooh, sunshine... We wanted to get out to our place for Christmas but the fares are so damn expensive. Starting to get me down having a place over there and not being able to be there as much as we'd like.

CJ
Ooooh, sunshine... We wanted to get out to our place for Christmas but the fares are so damn expensive. Starting to get me down having a place over there and not being able to be there as much as we'd like. I had a look recently and you are right, they are crazy prices as are the prices at Easter. I reckon the next time i come home will be in April after easter as the word on the street is that easyJet are going to start a 4 times a week service direct to Kos from Gatwick. CJ
You can tell you've been there for a while with the massive coat and jeans in that sunshine You are right, you do become somewhat acclimatised but it is also quite chilly on a scooter when you are zooming about at...erm...60KPH. Supra-Woman
Is Kalymnos, the sponge island?? I go to Kefalos every year and just love it, not to tourist orientated but there is bars if you want them, plus there is always Kardamena for the party goers which is a taxi/bus trip away. I like the three island boat trips they do from Kos, one being Kalymnos.
