Hey,

Just got two of these babies.

Right now the stock pipes in and out of the compressor part of both turbos are under modification to fit the new, huge in- and outlets. I also will be needing to make som new hoses/lines for water and oil.

Regards

Tom

Yeah, they are very nice and shiny ;)

Oh, I forgot to write that I have ported the exhaust manifold and it flows 20% better now (than stock). Damn, I can´t wait starting the Supra for the first time after the install.

I´m going to do the TTC also.

If anyone here has hybrids, please post and write your results and thoughts about it.

This is my Supra wich they are going to be installed in btw

Yeah, it was my car in GIS2.

I´ve got the Stillen front and Shift-Sport CF hood after movie was shot (if you don´t recognise it)

Oh wow, nice to have you on board!

Were you driving? (you might not want to answer that ;))

Gaz.

Nope, not me driving in GIS2. I think the outcome would have been different had I driven the Supra ;)

I believe there are about 40-50 Supras (MkIV) here in Sweden and getting more, mostly imports from Germany (where I got mine)

Supraforums is a good forum, but this feels alittle bit closer if you know what I mean :)

If you are intrested, I can update this post and write how the hybrid conversion goes.

Yeah, now that you mentioned it :)

I think my Supra had over 450 bhp before the second turbo quit on me with that terrifying death whine.

I have these performance- and non performance mods:

RMM Downpipe

Apex-i GT Spec Exhaust

Apexi Power Intake system

Apexi AVC-R Boost Controller

Boost Cut Controller

AEM Adjustable Cam Gears

Fuel Dampner Bypass kit/line

EGR Block of plates

Cusco Front & Rear Strut Tower bars

HKS TurboTimer

Greddy BlowOff Valve Type S

H&R Coil Overs

TRD TwinDisc Clutch with lightened flywheel

HKS Type S Front Mount Intercooler

Greddy 60mm Boost electronic gauge w peak/hold

Greddy 60mm EGT electronic gauge w peak/hold

Stillen front

Shift-Sport Carbonfiber hood

18" ACT 3-piece Split Rims Front: 8,5" Rear: 10"

Bridgestone Potenza S-03/S-02 Front: 245/40 Rear: 285/35

I have no clue what to expect of the new turbos. I still have stock fuel and MAF so that will be a restriction. The company that made the rebuild said they were good for about 350 bhp each. I´m hoping 550 bhp though.

Sorry for the long post

Oooh - so you can port the stock manifold, then? That must help a lot with your EGT's, yes? I have a spare one and I would like to throw it at Chris Wilson to get it reamed out in some fashion, is it worth doing, do you think?

Nice everything, by the way ;)

that would be great, it looks like due to a blown turbo, I will be getting some stage 3 hybrids, so any info regarding performance and any other findings would be of interest. Cheers

Hi Tom! Nice to have you on the Uk board! Post more info on the turbo build up as quite a few folks would like to go that route. Cool video! Any more planned races with your car GIS4/5? 40/50 MKIV's is quite a bit considering how small sweden is.:D

If you like cars driving too fast where they shouldn´t, you ought to see all three movies. GIS2 is the best one, just so you know ;)

Well, as a believer in the Supra, I don´t think they thrashed my car just by driving a little bit too fast where they shouldn´t. Done it myself, so I don´t hink it should make any differense to the car.

What I do know is that lots of cars couldn´t keep up with the Supra, among them, the Escort Cosworth in the movie. It´s engine broke down right after the movie, and it hasn´t been on the road since. Lots of money where put in that car I might add.

What I had to do, was to change the clutch, witch was stock when they shot the movie. I had some small trouble with the stock clutch before the movie, and by the time they were finished it was totally useless. Naturally, I bought the TRD Twin disc ;)

I got what I demanded from them to have my car in the movie, but that is classified ;) (not that much, but what mattered to me was a little bit of fame and a lot of apreciation from other car enthusiasts and especially Supra owners) That is worth alot IMHO.

In Sweden, there aren´t alot of money in the "car show" industri and one should be glad for any kind of apreciation anyway.

It hope I have contributed something for the Supra community, and made people realise what the Toyota Supra can do.

I have not been stoped by the cops due to the movie, but I´ve got quite many angry looks from them after the movie was shot ;)

I´m sorry for any miss spellings in the text above.
