IceMan
I recently had a speedo conversion unit and turbo timer fitted. Now the speedo is about 10mph off at 30, 60 and 100mph. The needle rests just above 0 at stop too. Any advice on setting it back? My mate did the work and I've read it can be a pain to recalibrate the needle without one of those TRL things - but I'd like to use what I've already got if possible! Secondly, the tracking on the car was quite a long way out when I got it (had to hold the wheel at an angle to drive). Since then I had it tracked and aligned, but now the steering is really odd - hold it straight and it glides to the right, pull it to the left a fraction and it steers too far to the left - there appears to be no "dead zone"/middle position... any ideas? I also noticed that the indicator won't automatically turn off when taking junctions one way and is too happy to turn off when taking junctions the other way... could this be related to the steering? I feel that the steering isn't confidence building. I'm wondering if the front bolts underneath could need tightening too (as I'm getting a slight knocking at slow speeds - but I am wearing low profile Michelins with 17" alloys and Bilstein shocks). Where's best to get these things sorted out? Back at the place that did the tracking? At Toyota UK? Cheers in advance for any advice! P.S. I'm trying to find out the type of delimiter as my mate said it came unbranded from Amber Performance. Ice
Ian C
Er, your steering sounds like the column is still over to the right in order to steer straight, i.e. whoever did your tracking just unbolted the steering wheel and stuck it on straight, rather than doing a proper job... Could be nasty. -Ian
Need4Speed
There are a few out there who can set up steering/tracking. The one you used apparently wasn't one of them. It sounds like the steering column was not centred when the "tracking" was done. Read Ian C for a second opinion! - but amend to WILL be nasty. Need4Speed
Ooops, just read the post agian. Slight knock at low speed, dodgy tracking set-up - check your wheel nuts.

Ice Ice, I have the same problem on mine at the moment. tracking all fooked up, drivers side they cant adjust anymore to get the camber correct, as the little thingy that they adjust is at its max. I also get a slight nocking or creaking noise when at parking speed, like when parking into a space. But all this slight knocking and creaking only seems to have started since I took it for a full wheel alignment. Not sure if its the garage, but am now taking to the motor to someone who has Supra's himself, so hopefully it should by sorted by next week. Will let you know the outcome incase its simalar..... Steve Cargill
Ashley, have a look at the two threads below ASAP and see if that helps with the creaking. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=3769 http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=3406 Originally posted by ashleywillis I also get a slight nocking or creaking noise when at parking speed, like when parking into a space. Suprash
Steve, cheers mate, will get all the bolts checked next week, she's tucked up in the garage at the moment. Did you get your creaking sorted in the end as I noticed that post was started by you...??

Lookin at where the sub-frame meets the body you could see there had been some moement as there wasa clean line in the muck.
