jackso11
Been looking at the e-manage system, am I right in thinking that one of the features is it eliminates the boost cut? so there is no need for a BCC or FCD if one of these is installed? jackso11
guessing they need mapping to each cars setup, not just simple plug and play....right?
heckler
guessing they need mapping to each cars setup, not just simple plug and play....right? you can use it as a BCC/FCD - but then you may aswell buy one of them! But, yes the emanage does need mapping
Tricky-Ricky
I guess it all depends on what you have in mind for the future as to whether its a worthwhile investment.
jackso11
basically I have a friend who wants to get rid of one as he no longer uses it so I thought I may take it off him. I bought a BCC already, not fitted yet, christmas time off job to go BPU. How much should I offer him for a blue E-manage second hand?

pbryant_knight
not really sure, they'll be a fair bit more than my £20 joke though. If he's a mate, just ask him what he wants for it.

tooquicktostop
Dont see the point of spending £200 on this, plus mapping costs for a BPU car, BPU runs find with a RR and boost controller I would spend the £200+ on an AFR gauge and EGT gauge
jackso11
I just thought it might be good for further developments down the line. Are there no benifits from remapping anyway?
tooquicktostop
I just thought it might be good for further developments down the line. Are there no benifits from remapping anyway? Further developments in what way ?, the emanage blue is a good bit of kit but I would not bother at BPU and stock injectors level, I would change the ECU with a fueling system change, then I would only really look at making an ECU change once, these costs add up with a map being required each time I would stick with stock and talk to a mapper about what you want from the car going forward, match your requirements and spec with the right ECU, perhaps a stand alone would at some point be the right choice Remember you are Auto as well so your gearbox will always be a limiting factor, BPU is about all it will take
Tricky-Ricky
TBH i wouldn't spend the money on a blue, they are rather basic, rather the Ultimate, they are far more comprehensive, i wouldn't of thought that the blue is worth that much these days, think i sold one for £200 or less four years ago, so i would have thought about £120.
