wilson4347 Posted November 14, 2009 Share Posted November 14, 2009 A friend of mine has a mk2 MR2 Automatic NA, he wants to put a 3.0 v6 toyota camry engine into it. This is apparently very easy fit as i am told by WoodSport of Durham. However all of the engine conversions done by them are into manual cars or the cars converted to manual at the time of transplant. The problem is he wants to keep his Auto mr2 box and just change the engine, however the ecu for the camry engine will not work with the Mr2 auto box! apparently the all the kickdown timings and things are different. Could a ecu be reprogrammed to run thesetwo together? im not very good with these technical things. thanks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
