Homer
Due to installing an FMIC I recently replaced my blitz bov (mounted on a hardpipe to the inlet manifold) with a HKS SSQV mounted in the stock bov place... However, this bov makes a really, REALLY annoying sound and I'd like to replace it with something much "deeper" sounding or maybe something that makes no sound at all... Is there an aftermarket bov available that doesn't make the horrible 'whistle' sound the HKS makes (Like the old Bltiz one I had)? Alternatively, if one isn't available, will the stock bov be up to the job handling 1.2 bar boost? Does anyone know of any aftermarket re-circulating bov’s that will fit the Supra? JohnA
There is a mod somewhere, that you connect two stock recirc valves in parallel (higher flow capacity) However, for 1.2bar I think that a single stock one should be adequate (provided it's not leaky or broken ofcourse) My car came with an SSQV valve by the way, but being a UK TT with the Air mass meter, I've temporarily replaced it with a stock one, so it doesn't dump metered air. Homer
There is a mod somewhere, that you connect two stock recirc valves in parallel I've heard of the mod several times before but haven't found any details of how its done... The main problem I see is finding two Fully Working stock bovs for sale!

terawua
aparently the supra stock BOV is the same one as found on turbo volvos- which I was told retails for about 20 quid. Also yes... getting a y-connection (bit of plumbing pipe or something can set a pair of them up in parallel. If anyone wants to flame me on these claims please flame B'have as well as he was the one who told me this!

supRo
I had a blitz BOV on the pipe into the intake manifold which was replaced completely due to new FMIC. The old pipe was 2.5" and the new FMIC pipe is 3". Miami GT will be fabricating/welding so I can put the Blitz BOV back on the same place
JohnA
...The main problem I see is finding two Fully Working stock bovs for sale! Most people with a DV in their engine bay will have the stock recirc somewhere in their garage/house. And let's face it: how many supras out there do not have a DV? My favourite option on the Vaux turbos would be to add a DV in conjuction to the stock recirc, so it will only dump the part of the pressure spike that the recirc missed first time round. Quicker response, increased flow capacity, minimum fuss, less noise (this last one was a downside for many people though )
