Chris Wilson
Having a clear out and found a few brand new sets of genuine Performance Friction Carbon Metallic pads in "93" compound for the AP six pot calipers used in the AP Supra MKIV front brake kit. These are EXPENSIVE pads, but to clear just £210 a set. P&P is 5.80 a set. VAT is payable. 93 compound has excellent bite, good disk wear, and will work from cold on the road, but will survive and is designed for full on track usage. I have also found a box of 500ml size containers of AP600 brake fluid.
dude
Will these fit the AP Formula kit Chris?????
Chris Wilson
Yes, they should do, measure the pad depth, I have at least two of the three variants, but they will interchange anyway. I think you have CP6666 calipers?
RobSheffield
Offtopic, but can you get hold of the Brembo brake kit pads at all?
Chris Wilson
Almost certainly, and in various compounds, but I need a pad outline either in 1:1 scale or with dimensions.

SteveR
Got any matching rear pads Chris? I'm tempted but worried about having different[ly behaving] compounds F/R. I'm looking to replace my pads all round.
Chris Wilson
Are you on AP fronts and UK rears? My fast roads in the rears should be fine, they don' do a lot of work and the balance will still be OK.
SteveR
Are you on AP fronts and UK rears? Yep. You said that was ok though IIRC because thay are balanced by design, despite the upgrade at the front? I'm certainly aware that the rears are still doing their fair share, turning-in under brakes is where I find my fun. My fast roads in the rears should be fine, they don' do a lot of work and the balance will still be OK.No chance of me finding some matching rears then? Chris Wilson
I don't think PF list any UK pads any more, I have 3 people after fronts, I'll have a think to see if any other places are worth a try. The Mu on the PF ones will balance with my UK fast road rears OK though

dr_jekyll
hey chris off topic again , can you get good road/race pads for the lexus ls400 ufc20 4 pots?
Chris Wilson
I can almost certainly do my fast road pads in that shape, never been asked for serious race pads, expect to pay circa 400 quid plus a car set though. My fast road ones are £148 plus VAT a full car set. I'd just like to see a pad outline first, but 95% sure I know which they are.

Chris Wilson
No worries, just a photo with some attached measurements will do though. Or maybe we can find a stock pad outline on line with dimensions you can check out?
Chris Wilson
I think these will be the ones you need: http://www.chriswilson.tv/lexus_front.jpg http://www.chriswilson.tv/lexus_rear.jpg
