jonathanc
Hi all, Two questions concerning this exhaust. 1) Can I use Autosol to polish it? 2) How do I remove the bung? I can see a nut below the exhaust tip but that didn't look like its connected to the bung Many thanks!
leelbuk
1) Yes, and mine always comes out lovely! 2) That sounds like the correct bolt to me! There is only 1 bolt on the tip and it's for holding in the muffler/silencer thingymebob!
dr_blackman
Hey bud, undo the bolt under the exhaust then get a cloth and pull the bung out Its a lot louder without I use to keep the bung in as I use to leave for work at 2am LOL. Its probably never been taken out for a year and half unless lockie did! I never had to clean it as I bought it for the car Quick wipe every weekend when I washed the car. Ah I see thanks Just very curious how it sounds/feels like with the bung off lol. I go to work at 8-ish so its cool (I hope!). Its a bit tarnished though so I want to jack it up and give it a good polishing. Just wondering if its safe using Autosol...
dr_blackman
Yeah should be I would of thought. On my mr2's original exhaust I used wonder wheels on it and it brought the tips of the exhaust up nicely.... I used a damp cloth after to wipe it. Got a blueflame on now and will probably do the same when that looks tanished... I've only done 3k in a year and half though so will take some time Its sounds awesome without the baffle specially full chat through a tunnel lol
Stonkin
Autosol or some NXT metal polish will bring it up lovely mate. dr blackman, dont put wonder wheels on anything anywhere near the car, nasty stuff
