Go-Karting Recommendations in London

Abz

Recommended Posts

Right, its my birthday next month and I am hitting the big 25 (no laughing please).

I have decided to go with the lads for some Go-Karting near London.

Had a look at a few using Google etc but wanted to get some recommendations from my fellow club members.

We are all very competitive & everyone thinks they are the faster man then the next, so we thought this is the best way to draw this conclusion

would be to setup a race night which would confirm I am still the best (Came first in Egypt in May 09 & beat their PB!)

Here are a couple things to keep in mind.

  • Most of the lads don't have a big budget, so cheap is good but needs to be value for money.
  • Close to central London is good, I live in E14 post code (so do most of the boys).
  • We are looking to have 20 drivers, though will start with 30 until they drop out.
  • Does not matter if it is outdoor or Indoor as long as the track is good!

Thanks for the response guys, keep them coming. This thread will also be useful for other members I guess if they are looking for the same requirements.

I've been to Buckmore 3 times when I was with Deloitte, we use to get entertained by HP every year along with a host of other companies with a 3 hour endurance race which was brilliant! Have to admit though Buckmore is an amazing track but last time I check they were pretty expensive if you had less than 40 people.

Thanks

I went Buckmore early in the year. Give them a call to do you a good deal with a large group.

Will try them again :)

New indoor one opened in Slough, went there a few days back, great fun, £30 each for 30min race with mates, we had the place to ourself, very nice pro karts.

Do you remember what it was called? Sounds interesting :)

Buckmore is a great track and good karts.

There are 2 karting places out near Docklands.

Im due to go to one of them next Tuesday so will let you know what I think.

I agree, let me know how next week goes!

Whatever you do, do not go mile end! Its absolutely crap, theres an indoor place in Edmonton or near there , forgot exactly where but it was quite good, being indoors, the circuit is quite small though.

Mile End is a 10 minute drive from my house, I went there once about 7 years ago when they first opened. I surprised people even go there! The track is crap, the karts are even more crap, the marshalls are crap! The karts are cr...did I mention that already?

Thanks guys.

I'll search the Edmonton one tomorrow
