the girl i am seeing has just paid to have an alarm fitted and after asking me about them because i have been looking at them she said she liked the idea of the viper 500xv with the display on the key fob anyway she had her car fitted with an alarm after phoning an ebay advert the guy came out and fitted her car with an alarm then did one the company she used charged her £300 , good price i thought until she phoned me today and said it hasnt got the display on the fob .......... they have only gone and fitted a "hornet model maxx 1" they are £170 on ebay :bang: as you can probably tell this is a classic example of taking advantage of a female coz they dont know a thing about cars aparently,

so what are the next steps before i phone them up and give them GBH in the ear down the phone

a little bit more has just come to light aparently the viper 500 Xv is a faulty alarm and the key fob doesnt work with the alarm properly i phoned the fella and he gave me a right crap story about she wanted just a cat 1 alarm with no extras, yet its advertised for £170 fitted and the fella who fitted it couldnt even do that right

any idea on what to do now ?

Tell them you want your money back and the alarm taken off. If they wont, open a complaint with Ebay and let them do the leg work. They've obviously taken advantage of her and hoped to get away with it. I had a similar situation a couple months ago, got the Gf to take in my 2nd car while i was offshore to get some new rear tires as they were worn, and they fella tried to get her to do all four and the tracking done. The tracking and front tires were done about 2 months before.
