Tricky-Ricky
Recently i set up Win 7 on a partition on my HD along with Vista , then decided that i needed more space so i made a backup drive image using Acronis, fitted the new WD 320 gig HD, reloaded the drive image OK, but it didn't include the partition with Win7:( So i had to reinstall that, but i am now left with two Win 7 start options, so how do a get rid of one? also how do i change the boot order of the operating systems? My second question is regarding my wifes new laptop running Vista, tried to set up her email (sub account on my Sky) but despite setting up exactly the same as in my laptop, it keeps asking for user name and password, which results in an error message, yet my email works fine! Just cant figure this, unless i have got the password wrong, i created it in the first place so it should be fine, any ideas? Grateful for any help:search:
Stonkin
havent got a win 7 install handy right now, but certainly in xp to adjust the startup options right click my computer, properties, advanced, under startup and recovery choose settings, you can then choose the default OS and if you hit edit you can adjust which start up options it gives you. Thorin
Does Windows 7 still use a C:\boot.ini file? Menu options should be in there if so. Or what stonkin said above if it's in the same place in 7.
michael
Windows 7 doesn't use boot.ini AFAIK but there will still need to be one for the XP install. Anyway another option: http://neosmart.net/dl.php?id=
