Abz
Apprantly commited suicide. He lost his daughter in 2006 who was only 2 years old, due to a rare heart condition but people are saying he has not really recovered from this. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/internationals/8353964.stm

hoff
Ah right, I was wondering what the reasons could have been. If that is the case then I feel very sorry for the poor guy. I feel more for his family though who now have to go through more horrendous death related heartbreak.
martini
It's very selfish to kill yourself, especially like this. Poor train driver.

Abz
It's very selfish to kill yourself, especially like this. Poor train driver. Yep true it is selfish but take into account his mind state was not right. Since the death of his little 2 year old he has not been able to cope. They apparently adopted a child recently but his still not been able to deal with the blow of losing his child. I am sure he thought of his wife, maybe it was a spur of the moment think, we will never know.
Professor Kenny
My aunt's husband is a train driver and someone jumped in front of his train. He had to have counselling for months, he couldn't sleep, completely blamed himself. And he didn't get a massive payout or loads of time off - just a couple of weeks and the counselling. Sad about the goalkeeper though...
Gaz6002
I've seen a LOT of jokes on this subject. RIP
