Branners
Do you run something like Norton on the works laptop thats not on the personal one? I have seen firewalls block WIFI before as it sees the WIFI protocol as dangerous and blocks it.

Branners
I would certainly give it a go, turn it off before connecting to the wifi at all, so start the machine up, turn off Norton, then try to connect. If it works then turn Norton back on and see if it keeps working. Norton can block a protocol or port it doesnt like for around 15 minutes, hence why you need to turn Norton off before trying to connect.
