AndrewOW
So more like a minute's silence, but nice sentiment though.
steve spedd
It annoys me when people don't stop and pay their respect. People in our office were talking away. V.POOR!
Scott
It annoys me when people don't stop and pay their respect. People in our office were talking away. V.POOR! Thats quite sad actually. We had a tannoy announcement yesterday telling us about it, then one early this morning, then one right before it with a beep to let us know it started. I obviously can't see the entire factory but everything in my vision came to a complete standstill. Poor show. Even worse if they got a notification of it. steve spedd
No notification but the radio was on so it was pretty obvious what was happening....
supra_aero
We had a 2 minute silence here - dead silent - couldn't even hear a printer whirring. You posted in the middle of it, shame on you. you make me laugh

Thorin
I carried on working as normal and didn't even notice it had gone past 11. Does that make me a bad person?

Scott
I carried on working as normal and didn't even notice it had gone past 11. Does that make me a bad person? Not really, just "not bothered" with it. Might mean something to you some day, might not. Different strokes for different folks. As long as you weren't talking at the time, then you can remain guilt free The silence is meant for reflection, not just to be quiet. Sitting in silence by chance does not really count

jevansio
This year we got a buzz, and I'm normally totally silent through it, but me & my mate were in one of those giggling fits where you can't stop and it's made worse by the fact you know you're not supposed to. Everyone was looking at us as if we had stood on the graves of past soldiers!!
danhicks22
Everyone was looking at us as if we had stood on the graves of past soldiers!! Outrageous. If there was a smiley to express that sentiment, I'd stick it to you right now!

Rob
I observed it. However I felt unable to wave to the oncoming tube train driver to stop, and he ran over some drunk woman who had fallen off the platform.
RedM
I was appalled that no-one made the effort today. I said "If it wasn't for their sacrifice we'd all be speaking German now." Then I remember that I was in our Frankfurt office.
