Evening all,

 

Pete's suggested the Honeybee (directions/map) and I'm good with that as we've been there before and it's not too far out of the way for most people to get to. (Postcode is WR9 0QB)

 

The pub, as described by someone from internetland...

I had lamb with roast potatoes, vegetables and mint sauce. Auntie had roast turkey with stuffing and Charlotte, my daughter, had chicken nuggets.

 

The food was fine but not exceptional, the portions were decent served on large plates. We all enjoyed our meal...

 

Overall, I would describe it as average pub food in a more interesting than average setting. Worth a ride out to perhaps.

...with such a glowing review, what more could we ask for? :D

(Before anyone panics, it was really good when we went for a local meet last year!)

 

So, we just need to pick a date & time - vote vote vote! :)

 

I'm going to suggest a late lunch into an evening 'do' for those that want to stay for evening beers and/or a meal.

 

The more the merrier, kids welcome too.

The service is always sh!te! Unless the two lovely blonde's are working the bar when Trick and I went last, they made up for it :D

 

The food is always good value for money though and of a good standard, so as usual I'll be there :)

 

Bagsy first on the swings :p

Doh I've just seenthe vote result - 12th December. I've booked something for that date. I'l see if I can un-book!

 

Either way, I'll contact the pub and get them to pencil in a group booking and see if they want us to pre-order and when we'll need to confirm numbers. :)

I can't really un-book my prior engagement (lunchtime into early afternoon), for reasons I won't go into it just wouldn't be right. To help me out, does anyone mid if we shift the Midlands Christmas do into an evening event?

 

Alex, I can't really change the date as the 12th got the most votes, fair & square. I wouldn't abuse my mod powers. ;)
