By far the worse seller? Where did you read that?

As far as I'm aware, the PS3 has only outsold the 360 in Japan. In every other region, the 360 install base is much much bigger.

Yes you're correct, I've checked my facts and the Xbox is by far out selling the PS3; my bad.

SupraDan, you've made me chuckle in this thread :D

I remember the last time anyone someone was being serious, or getting hot headed about which consoles were bettaaar, was when I was in primary and it was megadrive vs SNES.

I see in your earlier posts Matt that you were discussing Irony. Well i have a better definition.

Irony: Matt calling me childish for voicing my opinion...then spending X amount of time searching google so he can post a childish picture of an Xbox.

Go back....read my posts...realise at no point did i say which one was better, i said which one i prefer...understand that i did this intentionally to avoid reaching this argument we seem to be in now..then grow up. I'm not the one googling PS3 v Xbox facts, nor am i the one asking why Xbox is better than PS3. Your making me out to be some Xbox fanboi that hates PS3 even when i've said twice that i think the PS3 is the better machine. If i'd had known i wasn't allowed to have an opinion then i wouldn't have bothered.

Billy Bhoy, if your still having trouble with your Xbox, PM me, i would be more than happy to steer you in the right direction on how to get it back up and running again.

You didn't just voice your opinion though, you did it with malice, which screams fanboi.

Can't believe you didn't like my picture, I thought it was rather neutral. Obviously you can't please all the fanbois :(

I'm not even going to discuss it with you, your being a dick. Your refusing to even entertain the idea that the Xbox is better in different days. All you've done is bang on about how much you prefer the PS3...are you that deluded and self envolved that you cant even realise that your the fanboi. I'm not posting on this thread again so you need not reply.

How can you say you're not going to discuss it then discuss it!! How Ironic! :sly:

All things considered though, I prefer the Wii :eyebrows:

If you put it into perspective Dan, the only one being a d!ck as you put it, is yourself. I'm just enjoying pushing a fanboi's buttons; i'm pretty sure Scott is too, altough I secretly think he's slightly affiliated to the PS3 (ssh)

Please don't leave the thread yet, you've been very entertaining thus far. :(

Now, now boys....it is only a blooming games console!

Did none of you have lego and meccano when growing up? Fresh air and sunlight? ;) That said I've had an xbox360 for the past 2 years and 10months of that it has been at my neighbour's house because I never played it and still don't.

Only tecnic lego.

I built a digger, race car and electric train!! :D

Do you remeber the Lego JCB? Is that the digger you built?

It was the first 'advanced' lego they produced and I remember it was huge in primary shcool.

I feel sad that proper toys like that are disregarded nowadays for computer games :(

Having said that, I built the JCB, then took it apart to build the combine-harvester alternative and from that point on, I didn't have all the pieces left to build either again :(

As of Aug 2009, Xbox failure rates were at 54%!

Type in:

'console failure wiki'

in google and hit I'm feeling lucky.

I've just got this off of wiki:

"Since its release on November 22, 2005, many articles have appeared in the media portraying the Xbox 360's high failure rates, with the latest estimate by warranty provider SquareTrade to be 23.7%"

The actual qoute is:

"Since its release on November 22, 2005, many articles have appeared in the media portraying the Xbox 360's high failure rates, with the latest estimate by warranty provider SquareTrade to be 23.7%, and the highest estimate being 68% and 54.2% by a Game Informer survey"

I picked the middle ground, and wouldn't go from SquareTrade as they only specify their estimate from consoles returned to them to be repaired under warranty. In reality, it's going to be a lot higher than that. No idea where the 68% is from.

I prefer PS3, never had a problem other than the other night when PSN went down for a couple hours, whereas all my friends have had failures on their xbox's (this is why I bought the PS in the first place)

And I prefer Lego technic, I had the one that made three differnt machines, a robotic arm, a machine that could write stuff on paper and a crane type thing. Way better than mecanno.

Yes but Square Trade is the warranty provider for them so surely there figures will be much more accurate as such because they would get the most "faulty" consoles sent back to them??

No, because like I said they are only taking their own figures into account. The actual failure rate should be their return figures plus a reasonable estimate of consoles not returned to them (like the other company estimates - I've read this else were but can't find it now).

I quess we will never no the exact figure, but even at 23%, it's shocking.
