ok well I have decided that I definatly need a speed trap / cam detercor for the Sup. But im torn between the Road Angel and the Snooper S3 or S4.

Cost wise the snooper is cheaper but the angel may have more functions, so come on whats recmomended !!!

And has any one got one for sale or know the best place to get one, not sure if I trust Ebay for these lol

Well, I've got a Road Angel Classic, a Snooper S4 + Radar (S100), and an InfoRad.

IMHO I'm not keen on the new Road angel, but only from a cosmetic point of view.

I like the Micro Pilot for it's compactness/stealthy ability to be hidden...

I like the S4-R as it's simple, effective and easy to see, (Which with eyesight like mine is a big bonus! :D

I also like the Inforad for it's cheapness and it uses the same software as one of the bigger players, so it's reliability will be good. It's bonus is also it's downfall. It is cheap, and it does look a bit cheap when compared to the more expensive units. But at 1/4 the price, there had to be a compromise somewhere...

I've never used a B2, but it does seem to get highly recommended and gets very good reviews.

Got the new Road Angel 2 and must say it's very good.

Don't have a lot to compare it with, but it works well, plenty of notice and accurate, the website keeps it up to date well and you can add your own sites.

Saved me once or twice as well.

I have a road angel 2 but have yet to go past any mobile speed cameras(not sure if that's good or bad). I also have the s6-neo- I think that's what its called. It goes off at everything except mobile cameras. The only advantage with this one over the angel is that it knows the speed of the fixed cameras and can be programmed to only flash if travelling under the speed limit.

Road Angel 2 may not activate at mobile sites, it depends which camera is being used. If it's laser then it will flash up, if it's a mobile Gatso then it won't flash. Mobile camera vans have both, just depends which is being used at the time.

The S6-r will trigger a lot due to the fact it has a radar detector attached. Radar signal are used on lots of things other than just speed cameras, (Traffic lights, auto-door opening, alarm systems etc.), but the police still use radar guns, which all other system except those with radar detectors will not be able to pick up on.

FWIW, all units with built in laser detector are a bit of a gimmick. Most laser recievers are mounted in the windscreen, yet, it's the number plate the police are aiming for, (and laser beams don't get wider over a distance, so less likely to work anyway).

Also, if a police trap using laser guns targets your vehicle, when they first target the car, unlike radar, nothing is being transmitted. Until they 'pull the trigger', at that moment, the laser hits your car and rebounds to the police gun. If you're lucky and it works, you'll know you've just been nicked!

Laser detectors will work if your lucky enough to get a bit of 'laser scatter' if the police are aiming at the cars in front of you, or maybe have very wobbly arms ;)

If you want to avoid laser traps, you need a laser diffuser.
