johnny g
For that kind of money? Really? You might get an 04/54 plate with high mileage for £10k in SE trim, aye.
michael
You might get an 04/54 plate with high mileage for £10k in SE trim, aye. Pfft! I quite fancy a 535d with appropriate remap myself but would prefer a lower mileage top spec one really.

michael
And MSport. Indeed but then the price seems to jump quite a bit.
jevansio
Does a 530D open up any better possibilities
johnny g
520d/525d can be had for good money, and being honest, they're fine and give good MPG returns. Get the auto though, the manuals aren't that great in 5's. It's the wrong car for them.
Soop Dogg
BMW's are common as muck. How about something a little more unusual? Cheap as chips for parts/servicing and uses considerably less fuel than people think. The only thing is how many kids are going on the school run? If it's more than one, then don't bother. michael
I'd buy a BMW on the basis that they are common as muck but get one of the high-end ones. Blend in to the crowd and enjoy it for what it is without needing to shout to the world.
