Scott
Yup, watching x-files. Youre going to be up for 36 hours straight also?
caseys
That coffee is... Such a wonderful sight. Are you sure you don't work in IT? I think the killer will be if you have a big meal when you haven't slept. Doing 5 years of night shifts I found I could stay away 24+ hours if I didn't eat late into it. Just out of curiosity have you ever eaten out of those tabs by itself? Bet that's tangy

Just out of curiosity have you ever eaten out of those tabs by itself? Bet that's tangy Lol I do like my coffee. Not a big drinker of the stuff, I actually try not to drink a lot. Did shifts for 9 years now so I'm pretty good at getting through the time barriers. Always loved the 11pm wakeup on a Friday night after being up for 24 hours previous. On nightshift I always turned my whole day around. I had breakfast at 11pm, lunch about 2ish and a proper dinner around 5-6am. I would then go home and have 1 or 2 beers while watching either a movie or some episodes of a favourite show. Tucked up and sleeping for about 9. My Mum & Wife (not one in the same) used to have to wake me up in order to get up in time for work. I could sleep all the hours in a day no problem. On a Friday I would often feel great after having a couple of cans so I would continue... knowing I had nothing on. This lead to no sleep at all from the Thurs around 7pm. I would be dying by about 7-8pm but at 11pm... almost on the dot... I would wake up and be good to go for the rest of the night. Slept half the Saturday away though. Ahh those were the days. I've caved today though. Taking a half shift. I could go the distance if I wanted to but I've talked myself into it now. 9.57 and its time to go home..... countdown! The little discs make a really strong brew. I'm guessing they would be very tasty. Will need to try that one out next time we have friends over for a drink.... "try this"
The-Plethora
Best thing to do is get a bit of exercise earlier in the evening. I found 30mins to an hour jogging or cycling sets you up for the night, or at least I did in the summer when it was warm, now I sit around playing X-Box and putting off decorating which I find does not have the same effect. Scott
30 mins of jogging would certainly do it. Cardiac arrest would no doubt result knocking me out... at least My sleeping pattern was just screwed, nothing I could do really. Just woke up, feeling great now. Just hope I haven't had too much sleep and I can fall over tonight.
