Differences between 1jz and 2jz bare blocks

Hi everybody. i understand the 1jz-gte block is very similar to the 2jz-gte.

eg same bore etc with different crank/conrod/piston setup

would i also be correct to assume that the 1jz-gte also has oil squirters for the bottoms of the pistons??

and does anybody know if there is any difference between a 1jz-gte and 2jz-gte bare block apart from the pbvious stamping?

Since the 1JZ has a shorter stroke, I'd guess that the 2JZ block is taller (although I suppose the conrods could be different lengths).

Also, I believe that one of the oilways doesn't quite match up when a 1JZ head is fitted to a 2JZ block.

The parts list indicates that the 1JZ doesn't have the piston oil squirters.
