staples230uk
Having taken part in my local town's rememberance parade (I'm in the RAF). I felt proud marching and standing alongside my Navy and Army collegues and veterans. But watching the remberence programmes on BBC on sat evening I could not help but notice Gordon Brown almost FALLING ASLEEP!!! Then at the cenotaph just lazily placing a reath and walking off whereas David Cameron and Nick Clegg (I think, Lib Dem leader) place their reaths and pause for a moment of reflection. What sort of PM do we have, who can't be arsed to pay a bit of respect to the fallen??!! Rant over, I will now step off my soap box lol!! Porky1978
yeah I knew he was blind in one eye, but he was closing both. But thanks for agree-ing mate No worries! Initially i thought he was just unlucky to inherit the legacy of Tony Blair but i really think he is clueless. Apparently if everybody who said they were gonna vote fot the Lib Dems actually voted for the Lib Dems they would walk the next election......Heres hoping!! Scott
Need to realise how far from the real world the MP's actually are. It wasn't so long ago one of them thought it was OK to use the UK taxpayers money to clean out their moat. This is my gripe with sending our troops out to Afghan, they are completely out of touch. They are in a completly different planet from all of us. Anyway, as was said. Cracking turn out. I have the upmost respect for all you guys and gals that do their bit for this nation. Well done to all of you, hope you had a quiet rememberance day. RIP the guys that lost their lives yesterday and RIP the veterans of the past. MrRalphMan
We went to our local town's parade and service. Our oldest was in the parade with his Army Cadets Troop.. Was quite surprised (pleasantly) to see a large turn out today.
Dave17
We had to provide police protection for the white poppy brigade today at our local memorial service, abd CND decided to make their feelings known too, totally inappropriate IMO for a day to remember those who have fallen. Shouldn't be used to a political end
