Thorin
One of my headlights is now full of fcuk'ing condensation so I'll be following the instructions on MKIV.com on cleaning the lights, only thing is it doesn't mention how to actually remove the headlight. Is it straight forward? how many screws are there, and are there any in awkward places? I've not bothered to look yet but I just thought I'd ask as I don't want to bugger anything up when I do it. Alternatively if anyone has a spare pair of J-Spec headlights they want to give me that will be fine
Rob
You will probably have to remove the battery and/or the stock air filter casing. From memory there are three bolts that hold each headlight to the bodywork, two are obvious, the other is tucked down low on the "outer" side of the light. Once all bolts are out, and the plugs are disconnected, some wiggling is required which will free the light, in a sequence that is impossible to describe, yet intuitive to perform. And then...... the reassembly procedure is the reverse of disassembly!!!
Thorin
Thanks for that Rob, I'll be having a go this weekend as I understand that the cleaning procedure can take some time.

Terminator
It is possible to remove the lamps without removing the battery or air box; I have removed mine several times now with out removing either. The main problem is pulling the lamp forward whilst keeping the studs on the lamp in the centre of the locating holes on the car, they keep catching. It is worth sticking some masking tape on the bumper in front of the lamp to protect the paint.
