nevins
buy a delimiter and problem solved, if you have nos then you dont want to get rid of the rev limiter or you will end up killing the engine

nevins
Thats an easy fix then mate just get a delimiter and problem solved. Is your car still reading in kmph
Guigsy
yeah, just delimit it properly, dont touch the rev limit! rofl the 5 speed na without n02 is good for 150 odd, if your doing more than that on public roads your a bit daft. to say the least. supraman1234
The counter is reading in kph like 30 kph per fiver of fuel lol ...the clock says 180 mph (new trd clocks in white) and that is correct like 30 past a speed camera is 30 on sat nav
nevins
so you changed the whole clocks not just dials then.

nevins
my advice would be stay away, i think you will find alot of members would say this aswell as they tend to brake down over time. I always say buy cheap buy twice.
supraman1234
what do you think about an xs power turbo kit???...there is one for 500 quid is it worth it?
nevins
personally, I wouldn't bother if you want to go turbo I would do a TT conversion I'm sure alot of members on here would agree with me saying this. If you have a word with a few members they have done this and im sure it will work out cheaper also.
Guigsy
what do you think about an xs power turbo kit???...there is one for 500 quid is it worth it? no. from my sig - "There is scarcely anything in the world that some man cannot make a little worse, and sell a little more cheaply. The person who buys on price alone is this man's lawful prey." XS power kits are nortoriously bad. If i was in the market for a car with a single turbo conversion i mist certainly wouldnt get a car with an XS power kit. Its also not as simple as just bolting on a turbo. 10K is often quoted as an average spend for a single conversion. especialy on an NA, maybe more, The geerbox for a start probably wouldnt take the power increase. although the 5 speed manual might. your goning to need intercooler, pipework, ecu. bov, manifold, injectors probably and the rest of the fuel system like pump. And you still wouldnt get the same power as spending 1000 quid on a tt and doing bpu properly which will beat most things on the road. And to answer your next question. (its been asked so many times.) There is not much that can be done to increase the horsepower of the NA. You can do it. but your going to spend a lot of money, and it would still be cheeper to sell and buy a tt. Or if you love your car and you have bodywork you like etc you can do a engine swap. that will be about £2000 Edited November 8, 2009 by Guigsy (see edit history)
AndyT
what do you think about an xs power turbo kit???...there is one for 500 quid is it worth it? No. There have been some horror stories around concerning XS products. Stay clear.
