hemmjonny
Hi all, I am going to be droping in my new TT engine in a week Saturday. I was just thinking that i never used the aircon in my old TT with a hard top how often am i going to use it in an aerotop. What do you guys think i should do? fit it or just take it out and save weight? Thanks Jonathan Hemmings
pistonbroke
If it's on there already, and it works, leave it on. On that one day a year when it's uber hot, even with the roof off, you'll be thankful for it. Aircon also de-mists the screen rapidly. Guest Suprafly
Leave it out and save weight and power. This IS england after all, you'd only need aircon one or maybe two days in the year anyhoo!

Guigsy
i seriously dont think you will notice the speed deference because of the weight. Unless yopur totaly stripping the car leave it in. I use mine all the time.
miko_supra
it weighs about 7kg. Leave it unless you are serious about weight loss.
Homer
There are better ways to lose weight from the car. Aircon is a good few KG, but one creature comfort that is worth it. I'd rather have aircon than a stereo!
Guest blueangel
i found out upon replacing the rad that the aircon in mine was already gone
pbryant_knight
I'd say leave it out. We have to cherish the Hot days so i'd rather roast in the car than waste the extra fuel by turning the aircon on. Out of interest, how does aircon demist the windows quickly? i thought the heaters did that? This is why when you press the front screen button on the controls, it automatically puts the air con on.

Aero-M
Hi all, I am going to be droping in my new TT engine in a week Saturday. What do you guys think i should do? fit it or just take it out and save weight? Thanks Jonathan Hemmings I didn't use mine a lot in the summer, When it was hot I mostly had the roof off. There were occasions though when the roof was on I appreciated having a/c. So personaly I would keep it as your not going to save enough weight to notice the difference.
