far
we will still watch it because there arent that many car shows around, still a load of tosh though - not a single proper car review again this show
Harris25
well fifth gear been axed now so there arent any really. The problem is, reviews are ok for people who like cars like us. But its entertainment that make money, so its a programme everyone can. For example i know for a fact my 51 year old mother will be sat watching this. She owned a xr3i once but she knows nothing about cars but loves it. Just sign of the times

Dave
didnt get the link between an airship[caravan] and a lambo why not just review the lambo and blow up the airship
AndrewOW
didnt get the link between an airship[caravan] and a lambo why not just review the lambo and blow up the airship Too much money, not enough imagination. Or cars come to think of it!
Abz
I caught up on last week's TG on BBC iPlayer & thought it was actually quite good! Some of the jokes were quite funny & the bit where James May talks about fizz & his underpants & one of the audience members coming onto the stage was hilarious Today's was okay, as they showed the Lancia's, my colleague has 2 Lancia Delta Intergre & does not really watch TG. Wait till I tell him about it tomorrow at work I am sure he will watch it again on iPlayer As mentioned above, the true car enthusiasts are of a minority now. Its the viewers the BBC are interested in, I'll still watch it. It can be cheesy but I enjoy it.
Guigsy
i much prefer when they do things like today with the lancia bit. although it was silly in the middle. And i didnt mind the flying caravan bit. The review of the lambo was good not just clarkson hooning arround the track going "POWERRRRRRR!!!". and the sillyness of they caravan was a bit of fun. it obviously wasnt ment to be serious. lighten up people. For someone who likes to show off his cars it would have been nice to see chris's garrage and cars.
RiceRocket
Quite enjoyed the Lancia stuff and just the Lambo bits, rest was dross IMO. Plus the soundtrack really caught my ears tonight, must be a HD thing. Incidentally the show's on at 10.30 next week for HD

RiceRocket
I think it about controlled airspace around airports and particular sites like the military etc

Scooter
Is anyone mildly annoyed that they didn't make the Stig put in a spin free lap of the track? ok it looked a handful in the conditions but so was the koenigsegg a few years back and that got another go. Jake
Clarkson tonight on the little red Fulvia: "It is a fantastic little car, this. It really is as pretty as the sun setting over Charlize Theron." He might make bullshit television but he has good taste.

Maybe the kit car wasn't as desirable as the Koenigsegg, so they didn't feel the need? Or maybe the spinning was more entertaining?

tbourner
Was a better show last night, still not brilliant but much better than last weeks. I was a bit annoyed that they felt the need to stage the lap as well, I mean I know the board is in the order they want but it's getting silly when they do a purposefully bad lap for the sake of a few laughs. I have to say when they came up with the competition I said Alpha straight away, then said maybe Lancia cos I LOVE the Delta Integrale.
