HKS induction kit

I have just bought a second hand HKS induction kit (with the green filter). I can't work out how to fit it. It doesn't look like it fits properly. Is there more than one type for the TT mkiv supra ? I have a 94 UK TT auto. Do all mkiv's have AFM's ? If anyone has a photo or a link to a photo of an engine bay with this induction kit in it then that would be great :)

Thanks

Well if anyone wants a HKS induction kit for an import TT then you can have my one for £60. Filter has done 2000 miles. I guessed it was something to do with the AFM

Thanks for your help anyway

Which funnily enough is now sitting in a box on the gargage floor as I put the stock box back on with a Toms air filter!

Sold mine to the owner of another type of car for £80, worse thing I everydid to my car was fitting that stupid thing.

But if you really like them, you can pay a small fortune to buy a CF box to put it in to shield it from the engine heat and induct some nice cold air. Or you can stay stock and save a few hundred to spend on something useful.

I have a HKS Superflow, which was on it when i bought it, the same 1 as above.... though reading some of the comments on it it doesn't seem to be too favourable????? i know it sounds great when you let off the accelarator... hisssssssssssss!!!!!!! whats the bobby more on the standard one over the superflow??????

Retaining the two stock airducts doesn't do much good, because there's nothing to stop the filter drawing air *around* them, which is much easier. And that air is bound to be warmer than ambient.

The filtering capability and capacity are also WAY below that of the stock setup. By a long shot.

The size of particles (in Microns) that get through non-paper filters is out of this world (in engineering terms) They do not dilute or burn, just act as abrasives for the compressors, intake valves, piston rings, exhaust valves and turbines. Doing a leakdown test every few thousand miles you can see the decay and weep. (a leakdown tester isn't that expensive to buy, you can even make your own out of an old compression tester and some other bits, I show on my website, total cost around a tenner, lol...)

Even the best in filtering, the Apexi paper filter for example, has far less 'active' surface than the stock filter, almost one fifth! I'm not kidding.
