Gaz6002
When you're paying by the letter it's best to keep it short. It's from the old classified newspaper advert days. Remember those?

scotty supra
I was working as a doorman in cambridge. There was a private party and i was 1 of the 2 doormen working there. She and a mate came over, got talking and swapped numbers. Met up a few times and i ditched the other half! Few months after being together she talked me into not being a bouncer any more:rolleyes: Been married 4 years now!
Ewen
She was my landlady. It rained a lot and was a wee bit nippy so we stayed in most of the time. I think we just infected each other TBH.

Ewen
That's how my dad met my step-mum. I summarised the circumstances to fit the frame....I first met her when I went to see a film at the ABC cinema in Southampton. I was with the son of the Irish landlady I had at the time (1979). In those days the ABC had a bar downstairs, and Jane was one of the barmaids. I chatted her up a bit and, asked her out, she said no. I wrote my address down on a napkin, told her to come see me if she changed her mind. That was the end of that so I thought. Couple of weeks later, I was at my digs and the landlady came up and said there was a girl at the door for me. It was Jane...shed lost the napkin but remembered most of the address...I stayed at number 336, and shed tried 366 and 363 before finding the right one. I was rather pleasantly surprised, and we went out a couple of times, with her group of friends. Id made it known early on that I hated my digs (the Irish landlady was knocking off her brother in law and the fights and arguments were not a lot of fun), and Jane suggested I could stay at her place, as a lodger. Money for her, somewhere quieter for me. 30 years ago now, crumbs almighty.

fizzle
I had a friend called Joe, When friends were hard to find, He had a restless soul, And something on his mind, One day I went away, and then returned to the scene, Not to find restless Joe no, But to find Josephine... my mrs was a girl who worked for me's friend who had a dave grohl fetish. she came into my pub on her birthday, i got her wasted on free drinks 5 years later still together.. I think i might win the long distance relationship contest. although tbh i cant be arsed to read the whole thread I met my fiance on a cheesy online chat site. wShe lived in florida. We were friends ages and we decided to give it a go. We both had nothing to loose and we both liked eachother so why not? after a year or so of being friends and mybe 6 or so months of a bit more than that i went over for a few weeks holiday. It went great. then 6-9 months later (its a bit hazy) i quit my job. went to florida to live with her for 3 months. then she came back to the uk for 6 months. We got engaged and last week she sent off the settlement paperwork so she cna come back here to get married. Which we will be doing early next year. I head back to florida at the beginning of december for a week or so to pick her up. I wont even begin to tell you how much of a pain in the arse the visa documents are. i have to prove i can support her financialy while she cant work. prove i know her. prove ive met her. prove ive stayed with her and lived with her. prove she stayed and lived with me etc. the paperwork when we submitted it was about 3 inches thick with reciepts and photographs and bills and bank statements... I wont tell you how stressfull its been! its worse then the wedding. Anyway its been a long trip for us but its coming to a close now. and we can finaly be together after a couple of years being seperated by thousands of miles. Ive not had maye girlfriends through my life. and only had 1 other serious relationship.but i truely love her with all my heart and cant imagine what being without her, or with any one else for the rest of our days would be like. Im truely very lucky. i cant wait till next year
