Dave
what do you think? should they stay or be brought home personally i think there in a no win war, there fighting an enemy they cant identify .why cant we defend our country from our own shores
michael
What will they occupy themselves with if they come home? Is there nowhere else we can send them? Somewhere where we might win and get a bit of extra land or something? Would we really want to fight a war on our own shores? I would be pretty annoyed if I couldn't go to the seaside because people were playing army there. Can anyone actually remember what the current wars are all about anyway? What's the eventual aim? If you put all the troops on a conveyor belt would they take off?
L33
withdraw! cant even trust who were helping! was said on the radio today were mainly out there to prevent terrorist attacks from starting by gaining control with better policing ect? how about save the huge cash flow on having our troops out there and use that to build our defences here on the event of a terrorist attack. RedM
But can we defend against terrorism? Stick the troops on the beaches and they can defend against tourism.
Snooze
Can anyone actually remember what the current wars are all about anyway? What's the eventual aim? Supposedly: anti-terrorist war to help stabilise government for their country's future self-sustainability against the evil taliban Reality: the usual. Oil. Gas. Snooze
Stick the troops on the beaches and they can defend against tourism. Get them praying and we can defend against taoism.
Scott
Can't imagine how pissed off the guys & gals doing their country proud are getting. Try to do your bit for "Queen and Country" and it's all for a bit of land/oil. Everyone knows what it's all about yet nothing is done about it. The brass neck the US & UK governments is ridiculous. Bring the troops home ffs. It's only pissing oil!
AndyT
It's a case of duty. We got it right in ww2 but make no mistake, the people didn't like the idea then either. We either suffer for our country and way of life or we don't. If you question every decision you are, basically, no good. You have to rely on your superiors to get it right. The alternative results in Somalia. Do not listen to press releases dictating what you should not be doing.
