rick001
On start up recently i have noticed that the cranking sounds sluggish and my alarm beeps twice after it fires up - could this be the battery on its way out If i dont drive it for a few days then start, it is very slow on crank like a duff battery might sound!!! If the battery is fooked, whats the reccomendation for replacement? cheers Edited November 5, 2009 by rick001 (see edit history)
Dnk
Try Toyota 1st as i was very pleasantly supprised how cheap mine was for my uk tt. The battery could be on its way out but could this be a starter motor problem more than a battery problem ? Get the battery checked then go from there would be my advice. stevie_b
Sounds like a battery issue to me. If it's getting on a bit the battery may have lost a chunk of its charge-holding capability. If I don't drive mine for 8 or 9 days, then I need to re-charge the battery before it'll crank over properly.

dukenukem
Have you tried putting a multimeter on it to check the Voltage? 13.5V is good. Anything less than 12.1V I'd be slightly concerned. If it's reading a good voltage it's probably something else.
