I just dont know :search:

I've been swapping and changing cars for the last couple of years now and still not found the 'one' to keep me hooked.

I am now considering selling/p'xchanging my Evo 7 Extreme S.

Only 7 were made in the Extreme S spec and this is number 7 with now only 2 left according to Xtreme in Dudley, this being the last black 1.

Mileage is now on 43k approx, from new and has 9 months MOT and 10 Months

Tax.

The car is a 51 plate.

All Engine work + Tuning has been done by Norris Designs which adds up to a total of £30,000, and all servicing has been carried out again by Norris Designs and Extreme at a cost of £18000 with receipts for everything. The latest work being carried out at MG Auto's in Ripley, a authorised trader on the Mitsi forum.

The car is not for the faint hearted running 600bhp & 550lb/ft of torque which makes this one seriously quick road or track car.

All major components have only done 5k since the build has taken place and only the best parts have been used with

money no object and with 1 engine bill totalling over £20,000 from Norris Designs.

Over the last 3 months the car has had a new Exedy Triple plate clutch fitted along with a low mileage Evo 8MR transfer box at a cost of over 3k and also a low mileage Evo 9 RS rear diff as the AYC diff was struggling to cope with the power output. The following has also been carried out due to either modification or replacement:

Front bottom arms

4 Polybushed rear arms

New downpipe

A/C removed

New induction filter

Complete 9GT interior

Full service

I also have the following ready for it which will be fitted in the coming week:

New Tial BOV

New 38m Tial wastagate

Full Race manifold

Oil pressure/temp/AFR gauges

BC RM coilovers

Fast track/road spec geometry

And shortly it will be having a remap.

Overall condition is excellent with only 1 minor door ding on the drivers side, a general carpark ding. All alloys are curb free. There is some stone chips but is to be expected with the age.

Full spec is detailed below although I have not included some of the above changed.

Externally the car looks pretty standard except for the slightly lower stance and tinted headlights. I did not really find a different kit that I prefered over the stock look.

For those who know me can vouch when I say I like my cars mint and buffed  But use them as they're suposed to be (in my opinion). It has been serviced regulary and all fluids are changed after a track day (I have done 1 in this car).

It really has wanted for nothing but it still doesnt really do it for me.

Let me know what you have if interested in a p/x.

Looking at £20k plus.

Thanks,

Gaz.

Or Im still thinking along the lines of a C6 corvette :search:

hmmm, could be fun :)

Cheers for the ideas Tom, Going to have a browse through them

Not had anything else other than Jap from when I started with my Supe so maybe time for a change.

Gaz, That is one nice car mukka and the spec is simply outstanding.

The nicest EVO I have seen IMO.

Cheers mate

Appreciate it.

I've spoke to extreme in dudley (genuine ralliart/mitsi dealer) and they've offered me an excellent cash deal with it simply being an Extreme S. I didnt realise they were so sought after  Looks like I've got quite a gem here from what they were saying and the guy I got it off obviously didnt know its true value :Pling:

Stunning evo mate. I am really not a 7 fan but that is absolutely mint.

FWIW I think the issue is having Evo's or generally any AWD car. I dreamed of owning an Evo since the VI was released. After a bit of umming and ahhing I took the plunge and bought a V RS. I had just sold a diesel vectra and stepped into an Evo. It was eye popping at the time. After about a month I got used to the car, the fact that I could drive 20 miles asleep in it did nothing for me. I got rid of my "dream car" after 6 months as I was fed up with it and it didn't do it for me anymore. I got an MR2 tubby and never looked back, to this day that little MR2 still scares me and "does" it for me.

I dare say its a completely different kettle of fish with 600+ bhp and not far off it torque, but with you being used to that power I think you just have that same hankering as me. You need a car with 600bhp that you don't get used to and that still excites you.

Meh, maybe thats just a load of bol***ks but it's how I feel. Still wouldn't trade owning one for anything else though, one hell of an experience.

Picked her back up from the garage earlier (another 4 digit bill)

But the difference is phenominal.

The new coilovers and polybushed arms/diff hangers have stiffened the car up great. With alignment now setup too it feels like a different car. Very precise and sharp. While the arms were being replaced we noticed the diff/prop joint was weeping abit of grease so I also had a new prop shaft jointing kit fitted (£130+ for the part alone).

I moved the headunit to another din slot (this slot just used to be a storage pocket) and had the gauges mounted in the original headunit slot. These being red oil temp/pressure and AFR gauges.

And then the Full race manifold and wastgate/screamer pipe fitted which (if is your thing) sound unreal. Not noticable at all when 1/2 or 3/4 throttle but when on WOT and the wastegate opens you get the mighty roar.

Had the car remapped with the new engine components and made just shy of 400 wheel horse power (which is approx 500 at the fly).... at 1.8 bar :D (going back in afew days for the Hi boost map at 2.3 bar) Spoke to the mapper and he seems to think 500 at the wheels is easily achievable with the spec, he just couldnt get time to do the hi boost setting as he is away for afew days from this evening.

Graphs are available for the low boost setting and will be available once the car is complete.

Depending on how it performs at hi boost I may buy a coil of plug ignition setup to prevent any spark blow out but will see how we get on.

Can get extra pics if needed, the car is still currently for sale.

For anyone interested I do not mind if you want to bring someone to check over the car completely etc, there is nothing to hide (if I wanted to I wouldn't of changed the propshaft joint kit etc) and is a good, strong honest car that has had no expense spared.

Thanks

Gaz
