caseys
Anything else I should replace down there other than the pulley itself? Front main crank seal? Oil pump (sump/subframe off...) ? That is if you're questioning 'what else could/should I do whilst I'm down there / have the pulley off'

That is if you're questioning 'what else could/should I do whilst I'm down there / have the pulley off' I just meant to do with the actual job of replacing the pulley properly if there was anything else you should do in good practice. You think replacing the front seal is worth while then?
caseys
You think replacing the front seal is worth while then? Just worthwhile considering I would think whilst you have the old pulley off and make it more accessible considering the price of the seal. It's only my preventative maintenance ethos though. Maybe many will say that if it's fine it's not necessary.

caseys
How did you find replacing the seal? fairly easy? Mine was done along with new oil pump + oil change when my crank pulley damper ring actually separated from the pulley... not sure of the complexity of replacing the seal in situ with all the oil in... so can't really advise in your situation chap, sorry If it appears fine tbh not much point. Normally starts failing when you have a crank / oil pump issue really.

little num
If you dont have any leaks now id not toch the FMS. yeh this unless your leeking oil from there then dont change it, or you will end up changing the pump and thats not a nice job unless the engine is out. Mine was weeping at the time, so it all came off and oil pump was also changed. So sounds like no, don't do it unless it's leaking, guess it's one for the list of 'if it ain't broken don't fix it' parts.
