MarkR
Lol, i just noticed that there 50th spot is faster than our first spot, just shows how far ahead they are in the supra tunning scene than us:D They're also very much into drag cars, whereas a lot of people over here want a fast street car that they drag once a year at the RWYB days. If I made it to Santa Pod more than 2-3 times per year I may have done things differently and dropped in a 3.4 and strapped on a huge blower, but as I drive it every weekend I'd prefer something street fast. sdistc
For 850 bhp, I would think single turbo is the most economical way to go (don't have 2 of everything).. but isn't always the best (see Ken Henderson's, for example) for spool or driveability. Does this car have a highly built head? 5,400 - that would seem like forever - what would be the rev limit mate? (just thinking if its only 7,400ish that is a whole lotta power in a bloody small boost range of under 2,000 rpm.) NOOOO he is trying to convince me to get 1 but they don't spool till about 5400 rpm on a 3.4, I will have a T6 manifold on soon so I can move up from the 76DBB if its too slow but I think I would rather use a bit more nitrous and have the better spool. We will have a car here with 55/91 on it Jamie, so i'll let you know what thats like!!!! If you're interested in hearing something similar, here is a short vid of the drag Supra from the workshop that built my car - GT55 (or 60, can't remember exactly), 11.5k rpm, all boost
