Animal
Yay - a night of old-school Metal. \\m// > . Saxon & Anvil, two gods of Metal are playing the Civic Hall in Whitehaven tonight. I've seen Saxon twice this year already and they've put on cracking shows while Anvil have been on my list of 'must see' bands for a long time. I'm gonna have a stiff neck tomorrow, lol. At least it won't be as brutal as the Cannibal Corpse gig last Friday...
Thorin
An old mate's (who I've not seen for years) uncle used to be a guitarist in Saxon. I forget his name, but remember him playing a song called 747 for us once.
Animal
Possibly Graham Oliver - he was with them up to the '90's.

RedM
I loved the Anvil documentary but musically both bands leave me cold.
Animal
Philistein, lol. Anvil are a bit hit and miss TBH, but I've wanted to see them for years and I think they'll be better live than on record. That, and they deserve support and recognition for all the years they've worked their arses off. And 'Metal on Metal' is a classic Metal anthem, lol. I grew up with Saxon and they have so many good, honest Metal songs, plus they're last album is actually quite heavy and they always but on a bitching show.
