Lbm
Really... do you REALLY want to start with the height jokes? I wonder who is the shortest on the forum? I believe it's not Mike and I thought it was Blackie, till I met him
Ewen
Boarding school in first year in Hexham was hell. Day school in second and third year in Grimsby was hell. Boarding school in fourth and fifth year in Alnwick was hell. Apprenticeship '75 - '79 was hell. Pubs in Berwick / Coldingham / Eyemouth / Cockburnspath / Duns / Edinburgh / Greenock 75' - '79 were hell. Pubs / clubs in Southampton / Portsmouth / Swanick / Bursledon / Bitterne '79 - '96 were hell. JJ Murphys in Bournemouth in Dec 2000 was hell, as was The Brass House in Dec 2001, and the Wintergardens in Grimsby in 2001...and a pub in Coventry I cant remember in 2002 was basically the Alamo. Wimborne on New Years Eve is hell pretty much every year. My wife thinks its because I smile at people too much.

Homer
Never been bullied, but was picked on by a thief outside my house a couple of years back. To cut a long story short, a local waster tried to nick my wallet, caught him trying to get away so knocked him out, breaking his nose in the process (first time I've hit anyone in over 10 years, I'm not a violent person at all). Took the wallet back and called the police (not the best move it turns out and wouldn't do it again). Coppers turned up and said that they *should* be doing me for assault However they were really decent lads and noted it down that he'd fell over getting away The guy got 2 months inside as he was on parole at the time. He's not been seen in the area since.

What do the police suggest that you do if someone nicks your wallet or even worse starts attacking you?
Ewen
Punching someone in the face hard enough to knock him out cold so he falls backwards cracking his skull on the pavement is not a good idea. I'd recommend punching him in the throat instead.
Homer
What do the police suggest that you do if someone nicks your wallet or even worse starts attacking you? Don't punch them in the face You can apprehend them but cannot cause them harm unless in self defence. As I wasn't defending myself I should have been done for ABH. Madness, but at least the officers that attended used sound judgement on what had happened (i.e. that I'm not a violent drunk chav, just a normal bloke who'd been wronged by a waster). I didn't mean to break his nose, just wanted my bloody wallet back!

Jamesy W
Never had anything like that happen to me at all, thankfullly. Even through all the years working in pubs and clubs, I'm a real laid back kinda dude, so I don't really expect it tbh, in saying that, that goes for feck all nowadays. I'm glad that's all behind me though, nonetheless. I only ever snapped once, but on that occasion I coudn't stop and did go too far.

JamieP
Being married I became inured to being bullied and picked on about the third day of my honeymoon. No sympathy from this quarter, just tough it out (or say yes and sorry, like I do) Aint that the truth:D
DODGYDODDS
Im passive usually, but was bullied at school, hence why i got into weight lifting in my late teens. Being 27 now and fair size. When someone wants to cross me or my family. I always get these peep show moments. Where on the outside im calm, but on the inside im visualising carnage. I call it the yes no gameshow, working the doors it happens quite a bit yes no yes no yes no, whichever it stops on thats my reaction. no i walk away , but if it's yes [mostly it is] And if the opertunity is there, and cctv is not and it is deserved i kick the s@*t outta whoever it is to get me angry.
