Bobbeh
Bloody hell, didn't expect that, especially the way the commentators were speaking! Jim Watt had a point, but god does he sound like an old woman at times.... First time I've seen Valuev do the chicken dance too Well done David! imi
I did, I just didn't think he would. As I said, I agreed with his card but I was looking from a pessimistic point of view as Haye didn't appear to be doing enough. I think he was doing the same. Watched it live, didnt think it was Hayes to win, he didnt do enough like you say apart from the in last round - so not sure how two judges got 116 - 112 and the 3rd a tie. like they said - haye is more marketable, got the look, the talk, the cockiness.....chi-ching for Mr King......as planned. Porky1978
I watched it live and thought that Haye did enough to win it. All Valuev did was lumber forward hoping to trap Haye in a corner. Not what i would call Champion tactics. At least Haye went in with a game plan and stuck to it. Would have loved to see Haye go at him earlier in the fight having nearly knocked him down in the last round.

Harps
Watched it live and thought it was a decent enough match. It was never going to be a classic, but Haye did enough to win. Not sure what the commentators were on about half the time, how can you win a round when all you've done is swing and miss? For the most part, that was all Valuev was doing. They seemed to think Haye should be doing more, but were they really expecting him to walk in and start going toe-to-toe with a guy who's that much bigger than him? He was being the aggressor (Valuev) that always counts in boxing. As for Haye, he will be kicking himself for not going toe-to-toe sooner. Holyfield said that, for his size, valuev didn't hit that hard. Haye DOES hit hard. Showed that in the last round. If there is a re-match i think Haye would walk it now, he has nothing to fear. Bobbeh
They were mainly worried due to the fact it would go to points, and typically that means a home town winner, like when Holyfield fought Valuev, many commentators thought it out boxed him but he lost on points. tony tt
Yeah. Didn't he have Vauev winning it by 2-3 rounds on his unofficial scorecard? The sweaties never want the English guy/team to win, do they. No matter who the opposition is. Even if it's, say, Argentina, after the Falklands War, that England are playing. Regardless of the fact that many Scotch soldiers died fighting for our country in the South Atlantic they would still support Argentina if England are playing them at football. Im sure its the same when scotland is playing another team a lot of englishmen will want the other team to win so its tit for tat!!! Sweaties?? How is the war relevant to England playing Argentina at football? The past is the past let it go. Im all for remembering the fallen who fight for freedom and keep evil from our shores but times change and so do people. Scotch? The word is Scots!...Scots Soldiers. Vaulev was out classed by Hayes from the start although im sure Hayes could have had him earlier if he unloaded on him sooner. In my Scots opinion the Englishman deserved the win. Scott
So this Saturday- Wales vs Scotland, who do they want to win? In most cases i'm betting they don't care. The whole hate thing is media fuelled. A few twats, unsurprisingly like Jake, bring the whole respective countries down to the gutter. It's the same up here. Everyone down south assumes we hate England and the English, it's all a farce. I tend to ignore it as much as I can as it's just not worth getting into.
