Thorin
I'm undecided on this one, but I think my money's going on Valuev. There's no doubting that Haye is the better fighter though.
johnny g
Really is a David and Golliath clash. Haye win if it goes a distance, purely on points he should be able to out-box Valuev. But, it's only takes one punch to win it. (Remember George Forman versus Michael Moorer?) For that reason, over 12 rounds, I'm just thinking one of those huge fists is going to make a connection and I'll say Valuev and hope I'm wrong. I've decided you're right, and had a little flutter on Valuev to win by KO or TKO on betfair (4.5, not bad odds).

Lbm
That Russian looks huge Valuev for money! I'll get my coat. But David will have to make haye while the sun shines or the Russian wins.... Allow me to get yours as I get mine.

Scott
He might not be able to box properly, but neither could Lewis. This guy hasn't been put down yet. I can't see Haye being the one to do it, all he has is a right arm & Valuev will know that.
Matt H
I'd imagine that the size of Valuev's skull has something to do with why he has never been KO'd. That episode of the simpsons where Homer is a boxer comes to mind...

I even said to a guy in work yesterday that it reminded me of said Simpsons episode lol.

foggy147
ahh rocky 4, my favourate rocky film lol, "if he dies, he dies". Just watching the countdown on youtube now, going to be a hard night for haye he's going to have major problems landing a clean solid shot on valuevs chin
Scott
0B8WMMR_vl0 FFS I'm agreeing with Michael now too. During the convo I also mentioned rocky 4. The guy is even a rooskie. Surely agreeing with Michael and Matt in the same thread means certain doom? This forum's going downhill!

Just watching the countdown on youtube now, going to be a hard night for haye he's going to have major problems landing a clean solid shot on valuevs chin I think the problem is how vunerable he is going to be when he tries to land those kind of shots. He is going to have to reach as far as he can & upwards. IMO thats going to open up his chin for a counter.
Matt H
Can't access betting sites from work. Can anyone list the current odds for the match? Might have a flutter on Valeu if it's worth it. Not so confident on the £10 I put on Luci Jones to win X-Factor now

Bobbeh
I'll be watching tonight, should be a great spectacle if nothing else.. Matt, I remember that Simpsons episode! I think the difference with Haye is the zip he can put on his punches.. and he has a big target to hit. Unlike with Barett, Haye never caught him flush but still had him over 5 times before the fight was stopped... I think Haye has a better chance than anyone other than the Klitchkos at stopping Valuev for the first time.. If he can't hurt the guy, he'll have to pot shot and play clever tactics all night, but then it'll go to the judges and in Germany its tough to get a decision. Rich
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JJ2AT0NO_Fo It looks like an uphill struggle for Haye, valuev's record is pretty impressive won 50 out of his 52 fights. Haye had better watch out for the Valuev haymakers like this one at 1m 47 s .

I agree though, it's going to be a good fight.... at least on paper. He only lost 1 fight on points, not 2.
Bobbeh
Just a shame it took Valuev 11 rounds to do what it took Haye 5 with that guy
