I don't have much of either but I certainly wouldn't spend much time bodging a repair on the Supra when it could be done properly for about the same money and in less time. My local dint man worked wonders on my door on my old car that was dinted inwards, door didnt meet the rear arch, flared outwards and creased it just depends if they can get access behind the panel. Loads of them around where I parked. Didn't even leave a note lol. I think I will go the Dentmaster route first (don't know if any around in Dundee). There's practically nothing wrong with the paint not even a scratch. There's maybe a wee (2mm) spot where the lacquer might have came out but thats it. Sourcing new wing + having it delivered, getting guy to fit it, painting wing and other areas to match the paint costs around 400-500 quid here. Maybe more. Ian C Posted November 3, 2009 Share Posted November 3, 2009 Bodywork and paint is a nightmare to sort, it's an art form and a real skill. The DIY stuff doesn't work under most circumstances, especially if you've never done anything like it before, and forget trying to paint it yourself, it'll stand out a mile. It takes a bit of time and patience but it's only nuts and bolts at the end of the day. If you get a straight 2nd hand one in the right colour you would be sorted for next to nothing. Sourcing and getting the wing sent to me could be a problem too lol. I've asked a few PDR (paintless dent removal) companies and see what they think. The dent is not deep maybe around 2cm at the deepest point and the size is pretty small too. I think the mud on the paint and the reflections from my crappy wall that is embedded with millions of sharp lil stones could make it look more serious. Anyway, no harm done getting one of those mobile guys to come and have a look at it. My Renault got some pretty deep scratches before thats not repairable using T Cut and I called out one of those mobile repairers. It was raining so I got a bit worried but his van has this massive tent thing. Everything went alright considering the paint in my Renault is sort of a two tone paint.
