benkei
If the ETs ARE really here, and they represent their entire planet, not just 'countries' from it, then I think having the Earth as a whole unit would be better than seperate countries. BUT, it would have to be done right, not a corrupt, controlling or oppresive One World Nation. We are all infact Human, and no matter what our colour, language or country of origin, we are all here living together on this planet. Why can we not live as a whole race of people? Now the Earth isn't so big (meaning there is life out there apart from us), the Earth could move forward into exploring space and other life in the Universe... With the help of alien technology. Does this also mean the fuel crisis could be fixed? New energy could be found? A new way of life could be made? There arw a lot of things that can change with the knowledge of alien existance. But it what the Government do and don't want you to know. There will always be 'them' and 'us', which is why I don't trust the Government. Maybe the aliens are sizing us up and will start a killing spree? I expect they are superious in technology and weapons. We wouldn't stand a chance. johnny g
They are here, tonight. On ABC in America, it's the launch of the remake. http://abc.go.com/shows/v/ On topic: If this does happen, which I sincerely doubt, it will throw a real cat amongst the evangelical pigeons. Religious figures will be up in arms. Who thinks they look like lizards, then?

I've got a cheeky little bet @ 5 to 1 with William Hill that they will be in lizard form. I'm hoping to pay for my conservatory if it comes through. Scott
It's really cool, thats when I viewed it I decided to fix it. I still think we were made in their image, so they will appear like us only more evolved.... Less hair (no need to withstand the cold), skinnier (less muscle mass required due to technology) with bigger heads (brain space) and small mouths (communicate via large brain rather than mouth)...... wait.... did I just describe every alien description of the past 50 years? They were the unexplainable catalyst in the primordial soup.

Abz
Well lets put it this way... if we had dinosaurs roaming the earth a few years ago, whats to say there is not another planet with dinosaurs\earthlings\humanish people. What if they are like us but was born a billion years before us so their technology has evolved at a much quick rate than ours? Where we got the hubble, they got the bubble telescope and can see 50X as far as we can? By the way I made all that up from watching too many horror movies which put the thought in my head. I honestly can't remember where i got it from. It could be something as ridiculous as the x-files, but it made sense to me. At the very beginning of life on earth there were single cell organisms. No-one quite understands what happened on earth but there was a massive evolutionary jump between single cell organisms and multi-cell organisms. One theory is that an alien race came to earth and planted the seed of life into our primordial soup. This then mapped out our evolutionary destiny. They were the catalyst back when nothing was happening, creating us, theoretically, in their image. Thats why they look like us with a few million years of evolution on them. Look at our genetic forward leaping. We can create clones now, we can select whether an embryo is to be male or female. Take that technology on a few millenia and thats maybe just where we will be. Able to map out the evolutionary path from a single cell. Perhaps they, like us, were destroying themselves and fancied another crack at the whip. Leaving their lineage in our soup (ewwwww). Who knows.
