devan
Yeah i took the +12V supply from the hazard warning light button. I would of connected to the dimmer switch, but its not wired up in my car due to new dials been fitted, and then taken off by me lol. devan
Here are the pics of the door handles, They do look better in the dark, and they make the whole handle illuminate, something which the camera cant catch. Hope you all like. -------------------------------------------------------------- Also added some pics of my blue and white LED heater conversion. Enjoy. TT Paul
who done your led conversion on the buttons that looks good
Scott
Looks good. If I was doing it I would have the LED's in the lower half of the cup though. So that the handle is nicely luminated without the bulb being visible. I would do it blue too to match the rest of the interior.
devan
cheers for the comments, wiggy - i did the LED conversion, im on my ten days off from work, so i thought id give it a go. Mind you, i should be able to do it as im an electrician lol. Scott M - I was thinking this, but if you put it lower down on the front, it will dazzle you or your passenger as the LEDs are really bright, and there is no room to mount it lower down on the back side of it, due to the handle itsself being there. devan
Yeah that could work, im just not sure about room behind the handle though, i had to chip away at the door card to allow the back of the LED in, but i suppose you could always to the same at the bottom. devan
Well my handle lights didnt quite last as long as id of hoped. The passenger one started flickering the other week, and then a few days later, the drivers one did the same. I assumed the +12V supply was being interupted, but nope, so then i traced out the negative, and no that was fine too. So i took the LED's out, and found that the solder connections must be breaking down inside the LED holder, im guessing shutting the door must of vibrated them too much, and they've now given up. I now cant be bothered to try and fix them, because ive had enough of soldering resistors and LED's for this year. Maybe next year lol. Kirk
i find it more amusing watching people searching for the handle myself
devan
Its funny to watch, but i re-trimmed my speaker pods in white speaker fabric a few months ago, and i didnt want people fingering them lol.
