Brakes

Recommended Posts

OK, so im replacing my rear brake lines and pads. The pads were in place and caliper back on. Bled the brakes and brake fluid came out but the brakes went gripping enough. Took for a quick spin and the calipers wont even press agains the pads. Just whipped of one wheel and the calipers are easy to push back, but wont come forward. Anybody any thought's on this?? I know your gonna say should have taken it to a proffesianal, but i've done brakes before and never jad this problem.

OK, so im convinced that both my rears have ceased up. I have tried to get a screw driver down the side to get them out but not, they wont budge, and now i can't get them to go back in either. This really pissing me off now, think im gonna blow the bloddy car up :swear:

I can only think that the pistons were corroded and so have jammed in when you pushed them back, I've never had this problem neither!

What about putting the old pads back in and fixing the caliper back in place ( you need to restrict the pistons coming all the way out) and then turning the engine on so you've got servo assistance - then stamp hard on the brakes!

Cannot really think of anything else without looking at them. :(
