JustGav
Loving the stock look Wiper blade moved a fair bit, bet that is the fastest that shape saab has ever gone including being dropped off a cliff ALMOST makes me miss the 120mph morris minor we built, complete with stock morris brakes...Although only almost. JamieP
Goes well, i like sleepers, i cant stop looking at the E30 forsale on pistonheads with a V12 750 lump in it.
Scott
I think you can go too far with a sleeper. 5-600 IMO is the ideal power for a stock looker. Would shock the crap out of everything yet still be able to turn a corner.

Scott
Need some serious chassis mods for an E30 to cope with 750bhp in anything other than a straight though. You can see that Saab really struggling to keep on the straight with all that power. Would be hopeless on a track IMO, or any b-road dashes. Chris Wilson
The Saab takes me back to the first turbo charged Volvo engine I built, back in about 1982. That blew through twin Dellortos. One thing I can say for sure, no way will that engine really be making 700 odd HP. Turbo's far too small, and the carbs won't flow enough air, and *meter* fuel and air. I persevered with blow through carbs for years, as the option of EFI was just too complex and expensive back then, for the likes of me. When i finally could afford EFI the improvements in drivability and performance were unbelievable

When i finally could afford EFI the improvements in drivability and performance were unbelievable I don't think it kept the carbs and turbo Chris. I think the turbo and carbs in the 1st picture were just early stages of development. It certainly looks like the carbs were dumped in favour of EFI from this picture. All good fun at the end of the day. http://cache-01.gawkerassets.com/assets/images/12/2009/10/dsc_0973.jpg
