Guest vikerz18
Hello every1. Recently bought a mk 4 auto N/A supra to get me started. Had wanted one for ages and finally managed to get my hands on it. Nice car. needed a little tidying but turns heads Pretty standard. Just bought some 18" deep dish rims for it and a carbon interior to start with. 1 problem that i cant figure is on the dash it keeps flashing overdrive off when it is on. If i turn the overdrive off it says o/d off and doesnt flash. Im not sure what it is, but i wouldnt of thought its a loose connection because its a perfectly timed flash on and off constantly. It doesnt happen all the time and doesnt affect the drive but its a bit annoying. The only other thing is i need a drivers side electric window regulator if anyone has one? Any help will be brill. Many thanks Edited October 30, 2009 by vikerz18 (see edit history)
ScottC
I believe it’s flashing due to a fault code that’s been stored in relation to the transmission possibly due to a dodgy speed de-limiter being installed. I’m sure someone will be along shortly to put me right and be of more help.
Abz
Hello and Welcome TTC. It could most likely he a loose wire, under the gearbox cover, just check you have no loose wires. This happens to me if I take the gearbox cover off and drive around (did it twice when changing my dash). Put up a wanted post for a window regulator or get in touch with one of the traders on here, I am sure they can provide you with one mate. pbryant_knight
The drivers side window regulators appear hard to get (and everyone wants them so i'm figuring they are crappy quality and break easily) Maybe someone can do a bulk buy on new ones if there's enough interest? Terminator
(and everyone wants them so i'm figuring they are crappy quality and break easily) More likely used a lot more than passengers side and 12+ years old, nearing end of useful life.
