catfish man
ive only had the car a few weeks and to add to the list of things that need fixing my engine when on tick over is racing 1,000 to 2,000 revs i have looked to see any of the cables are sticking on the throttle and they dont seem to be its happened 4 times before but seemed to stop but now when you start the engine its just racing 1,000 to 2,000 revs as if bouncing up and down anyone else had this problem? kjgreen3
Hi, Have you experienced this after the car has warmed up ie all coolants are up to operating temp and then you turn off the engine then start it again? Or is it just from cold start? Need to isolate if the cold start procedure on the ECU has a fault or if the oxygen sensors (2 on an N/A) could be clogged or faulty, also could be a couple of other things that maybe other members maybe able to shed some light on. Ian C
Quite possibly a stuck idle control valve. Have a search on here for that
