Guest Terry S
The only time I ever suffered this was a Texaco station where the attandant refused to turn the pump on because the car didnt have a front number plate. After calling him all the names under the sun, and asking what he did with motorbikes, I drove out and filled up at the BP station directly opposite. JohnA
hope you turned up in the supra for a free refill! that'll really annoy him! No, it had to be the 'offending' vehicle, so the attendant would know. Otherwise I'd be risking a *real* driveaway-without-paying incident, lol... I understand that they have to protect their businesses from petty thieves and chavs, but picking up customers at random and reporting them to the police is outrageous. Even more outrageous is that the police treat these dodgy reports as 'facts' and refuse to investigate further. What if I were to tell them to go feck themselves, would they take me to court then? Even the most trivial of investigations (checking the list of names paying by credit card against the car owner name which they already had) would have shown that the attendant (and his idiotic manager) were talking garbage
