slap in the face for the British!

Is it because Christianity is more lax on what is offensive? Whereas you can't even mention some names from the Q'ran without bowing down? So an open discussion will be offensive to one side and not the other?

So where does freedom of speech become racist or otherwise offensive, and should your freedom of speech therefore be cut off at that point to save others feelings?

Who are you referring by "YOU" here, the muslim or the other person.

The other person doesnt need to bow down and to be honest neither does the muslim.

A "proper" muslim just shows respect to the creator, messenger, jesus, moses, etc - which I guess isnt too much to ask for if one subscribes to that way of life and belief. I would expect that same respect even from a christian or a jew or any human being of that matter. It works both ways.....then again, we are dealing with numpty humans here who let their egos and political agendas come into play - divide and conquer and all that.

Not sure about the details of this, if what this article says is true (very respectable and popular news source :D ) then think they are a bunch of loonies.

Oh...and why give him the time of day - cause it makes nice headlines.

Which is why the tabloids never quote the views of the majority of Muslims, it doesn't sell papers. Fundamentalism is a danger no matter what form it takes and religious fundamentalism (of any flaovour) especially so

Sorry, Imi, didn't mean it to sound like that. It was more a question than a statement as I've got LOTS to learn about all religions but more Islam than any.

I've got the impression before that Muslims get more 'tetchy' about using their lords name in vain as it were, maybe that's more crap from media in my head I don't know but from stories like this it seems that some Muslims feel the same way.

Was this just a discussion about who was the creator/disciple/dogsbody in the story? And it sounds like the Muslim involved got offended by the Christians views on it but not vice versa?

Really what is this country coming to when they allow things like this to happen!![ANGRY][/ANGRY]

http://www.bucharestherald.com/worldnews/43-worldnews/6898-fanatic-muslim-group-want-to-call-buckingham-palace-a-mosque-

Well if all these anti-British extremists are planning to protest in a large group, can't we just exterminate them in one go?

Will be less extremist nutters then, and all the other muslims can get their non-extremist reputation back... :D

Why do courts actually allow cases like this to go through? Why aren't petty arguments like this just laughed at and thrown out?!
