why do auto and 6 speed have diffrent aux belt tensioners?

As above just wonded why they are diffrent.

 

I believe Chris Wilson answered this once or twice. It's to deal with someone choosing a lower gear instead of a higher one, overrevving the engine and trying to make the cambelt jump off.

what auto box and power was that at Dude

 

That was the Boostlogic box and 4200 rpm converter, Power was enough to run 10's at mid 130's, it came off at Bruntingthorpe and the pod so after that I fitted the 6 speed damper and it never happened again, I THINK Leon also used to have to run one.

cheers Dude, sounds like you were running a tad more than 600hp ;), i may fit one just to be on the safe side
