Scott
You needn't have bothered. I only take notice of insults that meet or exceed a certain quality threshold. The garbled, incoherent ramblings of Matt H always fall well short. Looking at previous hooks your standards aren't high either.
Ewen
Cant see the son deliberately intending to kill the guy...if he did its murder sure enough...hope its re-branded as manslaughter personally, assuming he felt as though his life / mums life was in danger. I've no idea what I'd do in similar circumstances, but I certainly wouldn't take time to consider the options.
pistonbroke
I certainly wouldn't take time to consider the options. This is the nail on the head. Putting my family in a scenario like that. The only thing going through my mind would be, if they get through me, they get to my wife and 19 month old son. Best go in like you intend to stop them. The consequences of going in softly softly might mean you regret your actions far more than a life sentence.
Supradan
On the plus side for the guys mother neither of the little scrotes are coming back to burn down her house in revenge. The ugly twat got a fast and just punishment, something he would not of got in a british court....... the son needs a medal not a prison sentance. formatzero
You can bet your boots if these guys got away with this robbery they would keep doing it,laws a farce, wer'e far too soft on criminals in this country !
far
I would have knocked the sh1t out of him but stabbing the fecker is a bit harsh - depends what the circumstances were - no one deserves to die though imo. Thats why we dont have the death sentence
Supra786
What happened to an eye for an eye? In my opinion the punishment of death far exceeded the wrong deed. But then who knows how anyone would react in that situation? So I feel it is not just for me to judge as he only did what he thought was right to protect him and his mother. imi
Just like saying burglary should have the death sentance IMO. sometimes I wonder why the over-reaction when Shariah law is mentioned; maybe it doesnt go far enough....
nevins
by all accounts you can use reasonable force so if they come at you with a bat you can protect yourself with one as i was told by a copper the other night, so i would beat f**k into them and then put a bat in each of their hands lol
hogmaw
If it was your son/brother/friend who had done the burglary, would you have accepted his DEATH for having done so? I doubt it. There are so many extreme right wing reactionists hell bent on violence as a means of revenge on this board. I honestly can't believe what I read sometimes. I don't know if you're married or if you have kids but for a moment let's assume you have a wife and two kids. You get up in the night for a piss and find two scumbags in YOUR home. You have no idea why they are there. Maybe they're just there to steal, maybe they'll rape your wife or your kids. What would you do? Bearing in mind you probably have only a couple of seconds to decide. Personally I wouldn't hesitate I'd do whatever was necessary to put them down and deal with the consequences later. It's all very well taking the moral high ground when it's someone else but what if it's you and yours?
Tricky-Ricky
Sorry but as far as i'm concerned if you break into my home then you are fair game, and have NO rights IMO, I wouldn't know if you had come to steal or murder, but i would treat it as the latter. It's all very well taking the moral high ground when it's someone else but what if it's you and yours? It's already happened to me and I scared them off. Burglars are burglars. Nothing more. They want to get in, grab your stuff, and get out without any hassle. As such they tend not to be violent, they'd rather just leg it and get the hell out of there. So in answer to your question, you make a hell of a noise, scream and scare the sh1t out of them, and 9 times out of 10 they will leave - fast! For all you keyboard warriors out there, knives, violence - and murder - isn't necessary. Now answer MY question.
