brilliant, thanks Mark, that has to be the most usefull info anyone has given me.

Cant wait to get my own stuff. I plan on going to La Plagne next year :)

No probs bud. I wish someone had told me that years ago :)

Good bit of info for the fella mark:)

Dont forget your wrist guards and helmet and board multi-tool for those "oh f*ck my bindings have come loose" in the middle of the mountain moments.

I wear wrist guards all the time, but still managed to break my wrist in 3 places last year 3 hours into my first holiday. Not sure if the guards made it better or worse as where the wrist guards dug in is where one of the bones broke...

have got my wrist guards already :) they have seen plenty of action!

a helmet really?

I only wear a helmet when I go into the parks or off-piste. On piste I don't really bother but it's not a bad thing to do.

I also wear one of these coccyx protectors religiously as I've nearly broken it before when I was wearing one. If I didn't have it on I would have definitely broken the old tail bone. You won't sh!t right for weeks if you break that.

Anybody else going this year or early next year?

Iam looking now and getting excited already:d

Was there ever a supraowners snowboarding holiday ever organised? or perhaps a pre season laugh at xscape?

It was organised and executed in January, mate.

Four of us went to Val Thorens for a week. Very good week, just wouldn't be driving it next time :D

So is anyone orginising one this year?

I'd be up for it :) might even drive the sup!

Some good info from Mark there Edd-t. Just to add, some boards are also rated for heavier/lighter riders, so bear that in mind too. Good luck, you'll see a world of difference when you get your own gear.

Good point. A general rule of thumb is that they should come up to just under your chin but go by the weight ratings. Shorter boards are better for park and longer boards are generally more big mountain stuff.
