Neil-NA
Yesterday i bought this - http://www.modelsport.co.uk/index.php?CallFunction=ShowSpecification&ItemID=31391 Despite the fact i have paid alot more than i could have, is it actually any good? I'm only going to mess around in my shop with it when i'm bored so it doesnt need to be stupid fast, or am i going to be really disapointed. nevins
good car to start drifting with, being electric you will have good control of the speed of the car, I found the easiest way to learn to drift, is put the car on full lock and full power and get use to it spinning. once you are happy start varying the power and learn to control the drifting like this. Then start experiment by coming off lock and playing with the speed. After you can do this you have the basics for controlling the car. Then its time to start initiating when travelling forward and at speed hope this helps and enjoy.
Aero-M
Yesterday i bought this - http://www.modelsport.co.uk/index.php?CallFunction=ShowSpecification&ItemID=31391 Despite the fact i have paid alot more than i could have, is it actually any good? I'm only going to mess around in my shop with it when i'm bored so it doesnt need to be stupid fast, or am i going to be really disapointed. It's a very good starting point, I brought one as my first rc car (upto 28 now) It has now been upgraded quite a lot as it's used for drifting. you will soon get bored with the standard speed, but upgrades are readilly available. I would reccomend the Vega Flux 27t motor as a good motor upgrade whilst keeping the standard esc, I tried a few and found this best. Any more higher performance motor and you will need to change the esc, If it's in kit form I would suggest you buy a full ball race set for it as it saves taking it all apart when you want to ballrace it, this also makes it a very different car to drive from standard. Next mods worth looking at would be a decent set of oil filled shocks and also and alloy prop shaft. Edit: Just noticed it was the tt-01d you brought, That comes with better suspension and ball race set. It does however come with drift spec tires so if you want to drive it fast you will need some good rubber as drift tires are normally plastic. I use take off cs22's and they are very good, the sport tuned motor is sightly better than the bog standard one but not much.
