themodifiedkid
Im looking at getting a steering wheel an airbag from a 2002 mr2 roadster as I think these look . But was wandering if anybody knew whether this would be a straight swap or whether I would have issues with the airbag plug, or whether I would need a plug harness adaptor:blink: Would anybody know where I would be able to get said harness adaptor if it is needed. Any info would be great THanks in advance everybody
Mike_Mac
Same wheel as the 2002 Celica, so see here... http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=157220&highlight=Celica Simple Cruise swap to keep CC useable: http://www.supraforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=425770 More details plus info on putting the correct shape cruise switch on: http://supraforums.com/forum/showthread.php?p=5623053#post5623053 The airbag adaptors can be got from Steve Manley (search for him) and you can find the part numbers on the threads I've listed (IIRC). If he doesn't have any then its a simple case of splicing in two wires - all the A/B wires are is a live and an earth. You will also find that the slightly smaller base of the MR2 wheel might not engage properly with the A/B Loom ring on the mount. I just made some extensions for it, which I then glued on so that it engaged properly.
